This one is a more efficient pump that operates at just over 9amps/120v.

We also offer a cord and AMP plug (sold separately - see 1-speed pump cord such as 72 inch long AMP cord 30-0024-K or 60 inch pump cord 21086 .  

There are 3 wires used on the correct (optional) cord to connect to this pump and circuit board/spa pack as this is a 1-speed pump. (A 2-speed pump would have 4 wires).

There are still 4 pins - only 1 is not connected since it is a 1-speed pump.  If you already have the 1-speed pump cord from the previous pump and it is serviceable, then that one can be reused as needed.

Both union sizes are the same and accommodate 1 1/2 inch plumbing.
