Description

Poolmaster 22240 test kit is a 3-way basic test kit for pools and spas.

This kit tests for chlorine, bromine and pH levels in pool and spa water.

1/2 ounce solutions OTO and Phenol Red included. The built-in color readings are on the front and on the back as well. Comes with polyethelne case.

Test for Chlorine, Bromine and pH by reading results from the clear-view test block with easy-to-read markings. Includes color-keyed vial caps for easy identification.

This test kit tests for chlorine and pH. See the video below for more details. A few drops of OTO added to the water sample tests for chlorine and a few drops of Phenol Red tests for pH.

Chlorine range reads 0.6, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 5.0
Bromine range reads 1.3, 2.2, 4.4, 6.5, 11.0
pH range reads 6.8, 7.2, 7.6, 7.8, 8.2

Note that in the video Matt mentions you can test for Chlorine with OTO, but you can also test for Bromine with OTO. Just multiply your chlorine result by 2.25 to get the correct bromine reading.

Test is for Total Bromine but cannot distinguish Free Bromine from Combined Bromine (because the Combined Bromine reacts with the dye, unlike combined chlorine).

Alteratively, bromine users can also purchase test strips which work fine.
