Potassium Monopersulfate non-chlorine shock treatment for spas in this HASA 2lb. bottle.

The non-chlorine shock is the most popular and widely used. This is the best type of shock to freshen up the spa regularly and reactivate the combined bromine or chlorine to create free bromine or free chlorine.

HASA HI-TEMP SPA OXIDIZER brings sparkle to dull water caused by the buildup of organic waste in the spa water.

This organic waste combines with your sanitizer in the spa water to form combined chlorine (chloramines) or combined bromine (bromamines) which can be very irritating.

Follow manufacturer directions on the label.  Typically after shocking the water, a wait of only 30 minutes or so is needed in order to be able to reenter the water.  Dissolves quickly.

Typically the water is shocked every week or so depending on bather load/hot tub use.  Note that shock treatment by itself is not a sanitizer, but reactivates existing bromine/chlorine sanitizer in the water and is part of a comprehensive water care program for hot tubs.
