There is enough room around the center fire area for you to put down a drinking glass or put up your feet.  The table is 38 x 38 inches with a 17" burn area in the middle.  The unit comes with a 19" square lid to protect the elements when it is not in use. 

This firepit is intended for outdoor use only and requires a propane or butane tank (not included). 

The unit does require basic assembly (allow one hour).
