The QCA Spas Amethyst is a 2-3 person hot tub with measurements: 81"L x 55" W x 29½"D.  The actual cover dimensions are slightly different - 79" long and 53 1/2 inches wide.. 

The cover includes 4 tiedown safety security straps. These are lockable with key provided.  Using the tie-downs and securing the spa cover when the spa is not in use can not only help keep the water clean by avoiding any airborne debris, but also prevent kids, animals and others from entering the spa while it is unattended. 

The tie-down straps also hold the cover firmly in place whenever there are high winds that could potentially lift an unsecured cover off of the spa and send it crashing through a window or down the way.

Another reason to keep your cover on the spa when it is not in use is to avoid any damage to the hot tub acrylic in direct sunlight. This is most important when the spa is empty.
