The circ pump operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is usually 1/16HP with quiet operating standards. The energy usage of a circ pump vs. using the low speed of a 2 speed pump is about the same, but the circ pump never stops circulating the water, although at a lower GPM rate.
